The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB ) has begun rescheduling candidates impacted by technical challenges during the ongoing 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Affected candidates are receiving new examination dates and times via official notifications.
In the messages sent to candidates, JAMB states: “Your exam has been rescheduled and your new exam date is [e.g., Friday, April 17, 2026 at 12:00 PM]. Kindly visit the official portal to reprint your exam slip for more details.”
Candidates who have not yet received a rescheduling notification should continue monitoring their email and SMS inboxes regularly, as updates are being sent progressively.
This measure follows reports of disruptions at some Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres, including system failures, biometric verification issues, network problems, or centre-related faults during the initial phase of the examination. JAMB had previously assured candidates that those affected by verified technical issues would be provided a fresh opportunity to sit the exam.
Note: Rescheduling applies only to candidates who encountered genuine technical problems (such as system failure, biometric issues, network failures, or faults attributable to the centre). It does not cover candidates who deliberately failed to appear for their originally scheduled examination.
